Adopt a plant
The "Adopt a Plant" project is an educational strategy that helps students develop environmental awareness while applying scientific knowledge and ethical values. Throughout the process, students care for their plants by preparing the soil, watering them daily, and observing their growth. Additionally, they have the opportunity to witness biological processes such as pollination and sexual reproduction in plants.
From an Environmental Studies perspective, students learn about the importance of biodiversity conservation and how plant care contributes to ecological balance. In Biology, they identify the parts of the plant, their functions within the ecosystem, and the plant life cycle. On an ethical level, this project fosters responsibility, patience, and respect for nature.
This initiative strengthens experiential learning and deepens students’ connection with the environment, promoting sustainable habits that benefit the planet. In this way, students do not just learn theory—they experience it firsthand by nurturing their own plants.
