Planting day in the school garden

Planting day in the school garden

A planting activity was carried out in the school garden with fifth-grade students, aimed at promoting  environmental awareness and reinforcing the study of plant adaptations in different ecosystems.

During the activity, students actively participated in preparing the soil, selecting species, and planting, which allowed them to directly observe how plants adapt to their surroundings in order to survive.

This type of hands-on experience  is fundamental in the subject of Biology and the broader Natural Sciences area, as it fosters meaningful learning through direct contact with nature, strengthens ecological awareness, and facilitates the understanding of biological processes in a real-world context.

Moreover, it contributes to the development of values such as responsibility, respect for life, and care for the environment — essential aspects for their holistic education
